Ever have temporary custody, and the child acts
outrageous when visitation time comes. Kicking and
screaming, not wanting to go. They are terrified of going.
Know what the courts say: they are under the age of 5 - 6 -
7 (every state has an age) they go. We are not talking
about a hunk of meat here. We are talking about a child.
You are mandated to allow the visitation.
BUT GUESS WHAT - I found if the child isn't available, or
visiting someone SAFE they CAN'T go. Keep safe homes
set up for your Angel. You know the address, no one else
need to. If you need a haven, have it ready with a phone
call.
For me, our friendly Pediatrician has been a Guardian
Angel. If medication was ordered, naturally the parent
forgets to give it all to often. If he/she writes a note that the
child is not to be removed from the home for medical
reasons. Bases covered!
