Kinship Care Program
A program for kinship care families living in Midland County, Michigan. The Kinship Care Program offers meetings for kinship families on the second Monday of each month at Family and Children's Service of Midland from 6-8pm, with a family meal provided. In addition to monthly meetings, Kinship Caregivers Support Group and KinKids provide education, emotional support, advocacy, referral information, and case management services (on an as needed basis) for kinship families.

Grandparent Support Program
A program for kinship care families living in Saginaw County, Michigan. Program offers care management services, support groups, children's groups and a monthly newsletter. Adult support groups meet on Tuesdays and group meets on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11a.m. at the Animal Control Building, 1312 Gratiot, Saginaw.
Tuesday groups meets from 4 to 5:30p.m.
at the Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson, Bridgeport, MI.

Wednesday group meets from 1 to 2:30p.m.at the Eleanor Frank Multipurpose Center, 2355 Schust, Saginaw, MI.

We are a nonprofit mental health agency that provides a Grandparent Resouce Center. We have ongoing six week support groups for the grandparents and grandchildren, a monthly alumni support group for grands, a warm line grands may call to receive emotional support, community referral and provide starting programs with assistance. We have special events and a quarterly newsletter.

Meets twice monthly.Potluck/support meetings, child care provided. Respite monthly. Annual statewide picnic first Sunday in August. This year Senator Abraham has asked Congress in D.C. to proclaim August 1st as a "National Day of Recognition" for kinship caregivers. Presently, this resolution is waiting for President Clinton to sign the proclamation.
