THE LOST GENERATION
I read an article a year or 2 ago which stated at the time there were 5
MILLION Grandchildren being raised by their Grandparents. I figure by now the
number is even higher. Scary isn't it? Hardly a day goes by, that I don't
meet a new one online and although we have never met before long we are
allies in this war of survival that we live each and every day.
FOR ALL GRANDPARENTS
I raised beautiful well behaved children. It was when one of them became an
adult, when I had no longer any responsibility for this adult person, That
that PREVIOUS CHILD chose to take the wrong road. There is a fable I would
like to share with all of you out there.
LOSING A CHILD
Losing a child to drugs to me is similar in many ways to losing them to
death. I am just an ordinary person like you, with no special training.
Coping with this tragic loss was to me harder. Having dealt with family
members passing, sooner or later there was closure. With drugs - I wonder if
that will ever come.
